Why Austin
The state's most proven kava city deserves a bigger stage.
Austin already knows kava. It has the most proven demand in Texas, a metro of 2.5 million people and a crowd that lives outdoors: on the lake, on the trail, at the show.
So Austin gets the flagship-with-events format, our largest. A dedicated space for live music, open mic, wellness workshops and gatherings, with the lounge and the kava bar running alongside it all day.

Barton Springs Road, the Zilker edge, Rainey Street, and East Riverside along the lake trail. Lake frontage is scarce, so we're starting the search here.

South Congress is the brand-fit fallback, with South Lamar and East Austin in view too. Off the water, the nature comes in through a courtyard, a patio and a planted room.

The Austin edition
“Rooted here. Thriving together.”
Austin's version of the mark is its own composition: two sugar skulls in balance, Thrive in flowing script, marigolds and purple sage around the kava bowl and the root medallion. Below it, the whole city: the Capitol and skyline, kayaks and paddleboards on the lake, cyclists on the trail, prickly pear in bloom, and a bridge full of bats. Austin knows the one.

When does Thrive Austin open?
Austin is second in line, after the San Marcos flagship (targeting mid-2027). We open each store on what the one before it teaches us, so we'll share Austin's date once it's real. The founding list hears first.
Why is Austin getting the event space?
It's our largest market and has the state's most proven kava demand, so it gets the flagship-with-events format: 2,200 to 2,500 square feet with a dedicated room for live music, workshops and gatherings.
